New suitcase tea room Zen-an
The prefabricated teahouse "Shosoan" and the new suitcase teahouse "Zen-an"
At the "Festival of Craftsmanship" that started in 2016, they unveiled "Shokusoan," a prefabricated teahouse that can be completed in four hours.
The following year, in 2017, we proposed "Zenan," a portable item that can fit in a suitcase, in an effort to more easily share the craftsmanship of our artisans with the world.
In 2024, we will be releasing a new model called "Zenan" that is even lighter and stronger. Along with the world-famous "bonsai," we also created and exhibited a garden with the theme of "Matsukaze" from the 18th chapter of the Tale of Genji.
