Mizugo no Sato [Sawara] in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture. The old rice brewery built along the Ono River, which is crowded with tourists, has been renovated into a restaurant and BAR. The first floor of the warehouse, which has been unused for a long time, can be used as a bar counter and semi-private room seats, and the second floor can be used as a large dining room.
The space decorated with antique furniture and accessories owned by the owner of the brewery created a calmness that has been there for a long time.
The only surviving freight car (dolly) in Sawara, which was used for transporting rice, was used as it is, so that you can feel the history from the time when it was a rice brewery.
By regenerating old folk houses and warehouses, we would like to utilize the feelings transmitted to the land and buildings to the future with the power of modern design.
