In Sanmu City, Chiba Prefecture, an old house where construction had been suspended for a long time was renovated into accommodation facilities with a tea room. The roof, rafters, beams and detailed carvings, which were carefully crafted by the craftsmen of the time over a period of about six years, convey their passion and attention to detail. We respected that desire while incorporating modern comforts into the design. This restoration project was completed as a result of the client's 40-year-long wish to preserve this wonderful old house.
